We are one of the UK's largest independent providers of CIOB training courses and are now offering courses for the new CIOB Experienced Practitioner Assessment (EPA) programme either through in house courses ANYWHERE in the UK or by distance learning ANYWHERE in the world!
The new Experienced Practitioner Assessment (EPA) is designed for candidates with a sound background in a construction or built environment discipline typically of five years industry experience and operating at a recognised management level or professional discipline.
Successful completion of the four modules comprising the programme will allow candidates to progress to the Professional Review and potential corporate membership.
There are four assessed modules:
• Construction Technology
• Contract and Commercial Practice
• Management
• Health, Safety and the Environment
The modules of Construction Technology and Health, Safety and the Environment are each assessed by two substantive coursework assignments of approx 2000 words.
The modules of Management and Contract and Commercial Practice, are assessed by separate three hour examinations. The examination papers will consist of six questions and candidates will be required to answer four questions.
Our in house EPA courses cover all four assessed modules and are run at company offices, either on a monthly or fortnightly basis, the monthly session being about 4 hours, the fortnightly session about 2½ hours. We are very flexible as to whether delegates would prefer to do the session on a weekday daytime or evening, or even on a weekend.
We provide all the advice and support delegates need to progress their studies and membership in compliance with CIOB requirements.
We concentrate on critical elements such as study methods and examination technique, answer structure, timing, examiners' reports, etc., which are often the difference between Candidates passing or failing. It is also very important that Candidates commit themselves to directed reading and homework between these sessions to give them the tuition and practice they will need for the examinations.
As an example of costs, on the basis of 8 - 9 candidates in total, the fee per candidate would be approximately £750.00 plus VAT and includes tuition, assignment setting and marking, liaison with CIOB, our travel and accommodation, preparation and copying of handouts, etc. All you pay in addition are the CIOB examination fees.
