Our clients include many of the major UK clients and contractors with whom we have worked for the past 15 years providing courses on all forms of contract and aspects of construction, but also to enable staff to gain corporate membership of the Chartered Institute of Building.

We have also recently recruited new specialist tutors and introduced a full range of "soft skills" management development courses for example, effective negotiating, presentation skills, client liaison, productive meetings, report writing, etc., and have several introductory offers for these courses.

The practice is led by Kelvin Hughes FBEng FCIOB MAPM MaPS MCIArb, who, in addition to heading the contracts advisory service also runs the in house training courses. He was commercial manager on major construction projects for nearly 20 years before forming the company in 1992, and has since lectured throughout the UK and abroad on contractual, procurement and CIOB issues.

In 1996 he was appointed by Thomas Telford Ltd, publishers of the New Engineering Contract to head the promotion and commercial development of the NEC throughout the world-wide construction industry. He was Secretary of the NEC Users' Group and NEC adviser to Thomas Telford, the publishers of the NEC documents for 10 years.

The philosophy with all our courses is not only to address the subject itself in a concise and practical manner, but also to invite those who attend them to think about the wider issues, challenge traditional methods and become more proactive in all that they do!
